Help for Amphan afffected brothers and sisters- this blogpost will assist as a compilation of the same. I am writing this blogpost in such a time when, forget about restaurant food, you can’t even go out of your home. If Corona hand;t done enough damage, this super cyclone, Amphan wiped out the rest. Now you may ask me a very simple and valid question- why am I writing in this turbulent time. The answer, my friend, is quite simple. People are looking to help others and then, this listing might come in handy. Someday, Life will be happier and people will actually look forward to seeing others. And lastly, we are content writers, even if we don’t survive this state, the content on Mohamushkil will stay after me
Just for the records, we have just witnessed the WORST cyclone since the last few centuries of Indian history. More than 5,00,000 people are homeless. Multiple areas are flooded. Many villages in South Bengal are just wiped out as if they never existed. And I, personally, am not brave enough to enquire about the Sagar area and Sunderban. In Kolkata, many houses just lost were damaged beyond control, and many year’s savings got washed away just overnight. We have survived probably the largest man-made famine and the trauma of partition. And, we’ll survive even this. WE ARE CAPABLE ENOUGH TO REBUILD OURSELVES. I wish everyone to help for Amphan affected fellow Indians in whichever capacity. Please come forward and do your bit.
About amphan
Amphan is a tropical cyclone that caused havoc in West Bengal and Bangladesh in May 2020. And after the super cyclone hit Orissa in 1999, this is the first super cyclone to occur in the Bay Of Bengal. Let me quote the Wikipedia article here. The first tropical cyclone of the 2020 North Indian Ocean cyclone season, Amphan originated from a low-pressure area persisting a couple of hundred miles (300 km) east of Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 13 May 2020. Tracking northeastward, the disturbance organized over exceptionally warm sea surface temperatures; the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) upgraded the system to a tropical depression on 15 May while the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) followed suit the following day. On 17 May, Amphan underwent rapid intensification and became an extremely severe cyclonic storm within 12 hours
Now, I am someone who has witnessed the Orissa cyclone in 1999 in person. But what I have experienced that night was something else. I’ve never heard wind snarling like that. Where I stay, big trees got uprooted, the power supply was disturbed for days in many parts of the city. and for the first time in my experience, I’ve witnessed NO MOBILE CONNECTIVITY for a couple of days.
But then I witnessed something wonderful. Common people rose over the petty issues like their egos and religious differences and started helping each other. Many were asking if they can offer any help to others and in which possible way. So, this post will be a mere compilation for all those links and ways through which we can offer help for Amphan in West Bengal.
